About Me

My love of photography began when I was 16 while visiting Paris, France for the first time and seeing the amazing architecture and the different way of life. Everything was film back then and time in the darkroom was a must for me on a weekly basis. Fast forward several years, and the arrival of digital, it was the birth of my first two children (who are twins by the way) that made me want to pick up my camera again. The joy I felt when seeing the photographs of my babies as they went from being babies to toddlers was what made me realize that I wanted to be able to create those feelings for others, and that is when Rhiannon Evans Photography was born.
I love music, and when driving in the car with my kids there is a very good chance we have the music going and are singing at the top of our lungs.
I love dogs and have two of them, a black lab named Bella who is my older, wiser yet lively little girl and an extremely energetic Labradoodle named Buddy...Santa brought him to us. ;)
My husband and I have been married for 16 years and have 3 wonderful children. Our oldest two are 9 year old boy girl twins that keep me very busy when I'm away from my camera. Our youngest joined us in December 2010, five days before Christmas and was truly the best Christmas present we have ever had. She was unexpected, but we couldn't imagine our life without her now.
So, needless to say I have a lot of experience photographing young children and I understand that sometimes they just don't want their picture taken. Trust me when I say this because trying to photograph 2 year old twins (especially when they are mine) is not easy. The amount of times I've had the lip pout instead of a smile, or tears instead of laughter are too many for me to count. I believe patience is the best way to approach a session with any child and if they are just not feeling it that day then we try again on another day.
I love what I do and I hope to have a lasting relationship with all of the children and families I get the pleasure to photograph. Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and I hope I can help you create some wonderful memories and maybe even capture some great unexpected moments! :-)
